Keep original file date and time after back-upping

Keep original file date and time after back-upping

Post by Jorn »

Hi,

I do a network back-up from NAS to NAS for several years now and I've never faced this issue, but now it pops up.

When copying files to the destination, the files on the destination will get the date and time of being copied to the destination. This is normal.

But, in the past this wasn't a problem for the back-up software.

Now it recognizes the files as changed (other date and time) and therefore the system/software will start back-upping all the data again and again, each time I run that back-up profile.

Please, how can I resolve this issue and make sure the data is only backed up once as long as nothing changed to the data?

Thanks very much, you're a hero!
