"Only on Source" error

"Only on Source" error

Post by ettenw »

During a backup run, the log sometimes shows "only on source" errors for some files. This confuses me since the whole point of making a backup is to copy a file from the source to the destination. Anyone know why this would happen and how to fix it? I can certainly understand "only on destination" messages, but these don't make sense.

I have the same problem and don't understand it. If I make a new file on the source I want it to be copied to the destination and it usually is copied successfully. Can it be that there is something wrong with the filename?
I see no replies here but have you had any luck in your own investigation? I currently have 271 files in this situation.

Sorry, I have not found a solution, however it seems that it is not happening very often for me anymore.
