SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

back up types

Post by frankraney »

I have a back up setting to copy from one drive (C) to a usb drive (H).. I notice it copies any new and changed files, which is great....does it delete files on H that have been removed from C. If not his there a way to do this? I know sync copies BOTH ways which I do not want.

I think what you need is the MIRROR copy. It does do what you are asking.

So If I set it up for Mirror, it will delete the files on the backup that are not on the source?

"So If I set it up for Mirror, it will delete the files on the backup that are not on the source?"

That is correct.

"also, can I change a backup to mirror, or do I need to create a new type?"

Yes you can. Modify current profile, click on Decisions-Files, change the option "What to do if a file exist on Right but not Left" to be "Delete file from Right if it hasn't been modified within 0 days".

"another one, can I rearrange my profiles by time.."

If you put your profiles in a Group and don't click on "run parallel" then you can move each profile up or down in the group however you please.
There is no automatic option to sort by scheduled time.
