Cannot choose folder I want under drivers folder

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

Cannot choose folder I want under drivers folder

Post by DrWhat »

I want to backup my hosts files which are stored in
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
(yes its small) but when creating a profile the 'etc' folder is not visible within the dialog box. Under windows explorer I see five folders but under the Syncback dialog I see just two - en-US and UMDF.

I tried just selecting the folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers as the source folder but but when I ran it Syncback only copied from those two folders and ignored the others. Seeing similar issues previously discussed for Onedrive paths, I also tried unsetting "Ignore NTFS junction points (reparse points)" via:
Modify profile > Expert > Compare Options > Attribute settings page
as suggested previously but that made no difference.

I would appreciate a solution.
Thanks.
