How can I set profiles to bet case sensitive with files and folders

Post by SvenSND »

Hi everyone,

I just realized that sync was not configured to be case-sensitive by default.

For example, I have a file called ABCD on source and sync it to the destination. If I rename it to Abcd on source and launch a new sync, no change will be made on destination.

I found some settings in the profile properties under "Decision - Files" / "What to do if ... properties or the case of the filenames / directories are different".

Would it be a good way to proceed? If yes, is it possible to set this setting as default for every new profile created?

I'm looking forwards to your answers. Have a good day.

Hi,

I finally found a solution, but it probably isn't the best, as I have to modify each profile individually.

It is possible to set default settings, but this part isn't available for "Decisions - Files".

So, I copied an existing profile for which all settings are set, called it ".Default decisions files settings". I then modified the two settings in "Decisions - Files". After that, for each existing profile, I used "Copy settings from another profile" for this section.

It's pretty long as I have almost 100 different profiles. Work is in progress :D
