This major update brings AI-powered scripting, enhanced cloud storage, advanced security, and dozens of improvements across SyncBackPro, SyncBackSE, and SyncBackFree. SBMS has also been updated to support live monitoring of running profiles in SyncBackPro V12. SyncBack Touch has been updated to support encryption during Rapid Transfer.

AI-Powered Scripting — V12 introduces intelligent AI-powered scripting capabilities along with expanded script functions, giving you unprecedented control over your backup workflows. A script converter utility is also included to help convert old VBScript scripts.
Insider Access — Upgrade Assurance subscribers now get early access to future features before they are officially released. This means Upgrade Assurance now acts just like other software subscriptions where you get new features immediately.
Smarter User Interface — Zoom support throughout, file preview in selection and Differences windows, quick search by typing filenames, shared File & Folder selections between profiles, custom text colors for profiles, and dark mode enhancements.
Cloud Storage Enhancements — MEGA S4 support, faster Google Storage uploading, Azure cold restore options with priority control, delete excess native cloud versions for Amazon S3 and Azure, configurable multi-part transfer block sizes, reduced memory usage for large downloads, and Infisical secrets manager integration.
FTP/SFTP Improvements — Significantly faster SFTP transfers with parallel chunked downloads and uploads using Worker Threads. Basic AUTH support added for HTTP and FTP HTTP downloads.
Enhanced Security — TLS 1.3 support with Eldos FTPS, Infisical secrets manager integration, and secure locked file copying from unelevated processes.
Advanced Logging — Log to external logging systems with automatic log file retention management. New variables for log counters and profile highlighting when backups haven't run.

- If your Upgrade Assurance was active on or after 31st March 2026, you can upgrade for free.
- If you purchased SyncBackPro/SE on or after 1st March 2026, you can also upgrade for free — just download and install the new version.
- For all other customers, upgrading is heavily discounted. Enter your serial number in our upgrade store to see pricing.
- You do not have to upgrade. Your existing license is indefinite.
