Moved data to a new disk and now source files not found

SyncBackFree is the freeware version of SyncBack. It is *not* an evaluation version of SyncBackPro/SE.

Moved data to a new disk and now source files not found

Post by berto2002 »

Hi. My source files are missing from the differences window.

1. I added a new HDD to the PC, drive letter D
2. I copied all my files from E (original drive) to D (same file structure)
3. I swapped the drive letters so the new disk was E (like the old one)
4. I went into Syncback Free and ran simulated backup to get the Differences window
- I expected to see just changed files
- I actually saw a huge list of all the files in the Destination but with nothing on the left and Skip in the action column

As per screenshot.

I can go forward from here i guess but before I do I wanted to know if there was something from experience anyone can tell me about the process of swapping-out the source disk and how I should do it to get over this issue.

Thanks in advance.
